Arvind Mills Limited foray into Voiles has been through a division of a group company (Arvind products Limited), Ankur Textiles. The division is engaged in manufacturing high quality cotton & blended voiles for the domestic & international markets. In the domestic market the company is a recognized and acknowledged leader in the 2x2 rubia fabrics offering the largest shade range with a all India presence. It enjoys almost 40% share in the 2X2 rubia segment, a market estimated to be around 25- 30 million meters per annum. Other prominent products include blended voiles, cotton and blended shirting and a wide range of seasonal products like lawns, sarees, dress material, structured fabrics, etc.

  • Spinning: 32,000 spindles and 45 doublers

  • Weaving: 208 Ruti 'C' type looms

  • Processing : 4 Stenters - Capacity to finish 70,000 meters a day

    The company is fully equipped with the machinery, best suited for the product market segment it operates in.

    The spinning department is well equipped to spin upto 105s count with doubling facilities for 2 ply high twisted yarn. The other related equipment are:

    • Autoconer Machines equipped with electronic yarn clearers and wet splicers
    • Highly sophisticated yarn singeing machines
    • 26 Ruti C looms are equipped with dobby’s for manufacturing fancy / structured voiles.

    The process equipment include:

  • fully automatic jet dyeing machines


  • modern high temperature stenters

    • A fully equipped laboratory includes:

  • uster III yarn testing machine


  • various instruments for testing fabric parameters

  • water softening and effluent treatment as per the requirements of the pollution control board


  • boilers are equipped with micro dust collectors


  • company uses agro based fuel for boilers to minimize air pollution

      Voiles Business at a Glance

  • The company’s major focus is on the domestic market and has in its fold a distribution network of about 150 dealers based across the country. In addition it also feeds the markets of Sri Lanka and Nepal.

  • On the international front, Grey and dyed voiles are sold in Switzerland and Middle East markets.

  • Ability to supply a huge shade range in a variety of products and minimum lead-time is the key to the company's sustained performance and growth over the past few years.

  • Thrust areas include new product development for dress material and penetration of cotton and blended shirting and bottom weights in newer markets and RMGs.
